Snacks – Cutlet
Cutlet is a healthy snack that can be made in home. Kids love cutlet. This can be made as snacks in the evenings when kids come home from school. Make it once in a month. You can make for the parties also.
Ingredients :
Potato – 1/2 Kg – Wash thoroughly, boil, peel the skin and mash it nicely.
Big Onion – 1/2 Kg – Peel the skin, wash and cut into small pieces.
Soya Chunks – 200 Grams.
[Take 1/2 liter water in a pan and boil it, add the soya chunks in it. leave for a minute. Switch off the gas. Cover the pan with lid and leave it for 10 minutes. Now drain the water and squeeze the excess water in the chunks. Put the chunks in the Mixie jar and switch on the whipper. It will go granules. If not do it again. Now the soya granules is ready.]
Green Chillies – 2 – Wash, split into two, remove seeds, finely chop.
Coriander Leaves -Optional – Wash thoroughly, chop finely.
Turmeric Powder – 1/4 tsp
Salt to taste.
Oil 2 tsp.
Eggs – 2 – Beat nicely. / Maida powder (All Purpose Powder) – 50 grams – mix with little water
Bread Crumbs – 200 grams.
Method:
Take a dry pan, heat oil, add onions, saute it, add green chillies,reduce the flame add turmeric powder, (Tips 1) saute it then add the soya granules, leave it for few minutes, now add the mashed potatoes, nicely saute it. Add coriander leaves. Cool it and make as small balls (Lemon Size). Immerse in the beaten egg or maida mix and press it in the bread crumbs powder. Fry it in the tawa with little oil till brown on both sides. Serve hot with tomato ketchup or tomato hot and sweet sauce.
Tips 1 – Whenever you add any powder keep in slow flame.
